Army Commander Urges Troops to Step Up Operations Against Kebbi Bandits

An Army commander has charged troops operating in Kebbi State to step up operations against bandits and sustain pressure on criminal groups in the state.

The commander gave the directive during an operational engagement with soldiers, urging them to remain proactive and intensify efforts to protect communities and restore lasting peace.

He said troops must maintain the momentum of ongoing operations while strengthening coordination and intelligence gathering to identify and disrupt bandit groups operating across the state.

The commander also urged soldiers to remain disciplined and professional while carrying out their duties, stressing the importance of protecting civilians during security operations.

Kebbi is among states in the North-West that have faced persistent security challenges involving banditry, kidnapping and attacks on rural communities.

The directive comes amid renewed military efforts across the North-West to intensify operations against terrorists, bandits and other criminal elements.

The commander assured the troops of the military leadership's continued support and encouraged them to remain committed to their responsibilities until security is restored in affected communities.
