APC Youth Leaders Hail Youth Minister’s Inclusion in Tinubu Campaign Council
APC youth leaders have welcomed the inclusion of the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, in the party’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, describing it as recognition of the importance of young Nigerians in the electoral process.
Youth leaders of the All Progressives Congress have commended the inclusion of the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, in the party’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.
The youth leaders described the appointment as a significant step towards giving young Nigerians a stronger role in the party’s campaign and political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections.
They said Olawande’s inclusion demonstrated the APC’s recognition of the contributions and political relevance of the youth population, which constitutes a significant proportion of the country’s electorate.
The leaders expressed confidence that the minister would use his position to strengthen youth mobilisation and ensure that young Nigerians were adequately represented in the campaign structure.
They also urged other young members of the party to take advantage of the opportunity to participate actively in the campaign and contribute ideas towards the party’s electoral strategy.
The APC recently constituted its 2027 Presidential Campaign Council, with President Bola Tinubu as chairman, Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda as vice-chairmen, and former Zamfara State Governor Abdul’aziz Yari as Director-General.
The council includes officials and party leaders assigned responsibilities covering mobilisation, communications, support groups, education, finance and other areas.
The youth leaders pledged their support for the campaign council and expressed optimism that the inclusion of youth-oriented leadership would strengthen the APC’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 election.
