The All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election has paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, at his palace in Oke-Aremo, Ibadan, Oyo State.

The delegation was led by the council’s Director-General, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, as part of engagements ahead of President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign.

Other members of the delegation included the President’s Special Adviser on Digital Information, Mr Sunday Dare; the APC governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Sharafadeen Alli; his campaign Director-General, Mr Yemi Aderibigbe; Senator Yinusa Akintunde, representing Oyo Central Senatorial District; and the Oyo State APC Chairman, Mr Moses Alake.

Members of the Olubadan-in-Council and party supporters also attended the meeting, alongside market women led by the Iyaloja of Ibadanland, Mrs Saratu Konibaje.

The visit forms part of the party’s broader efforts to engage traditional institutions and other stakeholders as it organises its campaign structures ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

The APC has begun preparations for nationwide mobilisation in support of Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima, with activities expected to include rallies, grassroots engagement and consultations with community leaders.

The party inaugurated its Presidential Campaign Council on October 14, bringing together party officials, political leaders and other stakeholders to coordinate its re-election campaign.

The engagement with the Olubadan comes as political parties begin strengthening their networks and building support ahead of the next general election.
