Anti-Party: Lagos PDP Suspends Bode George, 23 Others
Lagos PDP faction loyal to Nyesom Wike suspends Bode George and 23 others over alleged anti-party activities, barring them from party participation and threatening further disciplinary and legal action.
A faction of the Lagos State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has suspended former Deputy National Chairman, Bode George, alongside 23 other members over alleged anti-party activities.
The suspension was announced in a statement by the party’s disciplinary committee in Lagos, which said the decision followed a meeting held on May 26, 2026, where petitions against several members were reviewed. The committee said the actions of the affected members could no longer be tolerated as they were capable of causing disaffection within the party.
According to the statement, the committee reaffirmed earlier disciplinary measures taken against George by the party’s National Executive Committee, insisting that he remains suspended. It also reviewed allegations of anti-party conduct and breaches of the PDP constitution.
Other suspended members include Aduke Maina, Abimbola Ogunkelu, Rita Orji, Kofoworola Bucknor, and several others. The committee further alleged that some members were collaborating with rival political parties or engaging in unauthorised political activities.
All suspended individuals are barred from participating in PDP activities in Lagos State or representing the party in any capacity, while possible legal action was also threatened against violators.
