Nigerian defender Semi Ajayi scored as newly promoted Hull City secured a stunning 2-0 victory over Manchester United in their Premier League opener on Saturday.
Ajayi opened the scoring in the 17th minute, reacting quickest inside the box after a corner to give Hull the lead.
The hosts doubled their advantage in the 38th minute when Nobel Mendy headed home from another set-piece delivery.
Manchester United enjoyed periods of possession but struggled to create clear-cut chances against a disciplined Hull defence.
The result marked a memorable return to the Premier League for Hull, who were promoted from the Championship at the end of last season.
For United, the defeat handed manager Michael Carrick a disappointing start to his first full Premier League campaign in charge.
Hull's victory was their first Premier League win over Manchester United and one of the biggest results of the opening weekend.
