Adeleke Will Campaign for Tinubu’s Re-election – APC National Secretary
APC National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, has said Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke will campaign vigorously for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, following Adeleke’s endorsement of Tinubu for a second term.
National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Ajibola Basiru, has said Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, will campaign for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in the state.
Basiru disclosed this on Sunday after paying a courtesy visit to Adeleke at the Osun State Government House in Osogbo.
He said Adeleke had not only endorsed Tinubu for a second term but also expressed his readiness to campaign vigorously for the President ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Basiru said the APC was ready to work with relevant political stakeholders in the state to secure a massive victory for Tinubu.
He also urged APC members to close ranks ahead of the presidential election, stressing the need for political cooperation despite the outcome of the recent governorship election.
The APC national secretary called on residents to maintain peace, particularly following reports of post-election violence in parts of the state.
He also appealed to members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers to resolve their leadership disputes peacefully.
Basiru said the APC performed creditably in the governorship election despite losing to the Accord candidate, noting that the party secured 46 per cent of the votes.
He expressed optimism that cooperation between the APC and Accord would enable Tinubu to secure about 1.5 million votes in Osun State in the presidential election.
