AbdulRazaq Unveils Book on 50 Women’s Strides in Diplomacy at UNGA
Kwara Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has co-presented The Female Diplomat, a book documenting the achievements of 50 women in public service and diplomacy.
Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has co-presented a book documenting the contributions and achievements of 50 women who have distinguished themselves in public service and diplomacy.
The book, titled The Female Diplomat, was presented on the sidelines of the 81st United Nations General Assembly in New York, United States.
AbdulRazaq disclosed this in a statement shared on his official social media platform on Sunday, saying the book was written by Oluwakemi Amuda.
He said the publication chronicled the experiences and achievements of women who had contributed to public service and diplomacy despite various challenges.
According to him, the event also provided an opportunity to share the experiences of Kwara State with a wider international audience.
“The stories in ‘The Female Diplomat’ remind us that diplomacy is not only about states and institutions; it is also about people, representation, identity and, against all odds, the courage to occupy spaces where decisions are made,” he said.
The governor expressed appreciation to participants and others who attended the event and offered their support.
AbdulRazaq also disclosed that he joined Vice President Kashim Shettima at a meeting with Nigerians living in the diaspora.
He said he used the opportunity to commend Nigerians abroad for their contributions to the country through their professional activities and remittances.
“I commended Nigerians in Diaspora for their hard work and remittances, which continue to help our country in various ways, and for mostly being great ambassadors of our country,” he said.
The governor’s engagements formed part of activities surrounding the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, which brought together world leaders, diplomats and other stakeholders in New York.
