2027 NDC Reps Candidate Pledges Dividends of Democracy
A former Kaduna State governor has urged Nigerian leaders to embrace justice, tolerance and peaceful coexistence as Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Maulud. He called on leaders to reflect the values of Prophet Muhammad by prioritising fairness, compassion and national unity.
The Nigeria Democratic Congress candidate for a House of Representatives seat in Ekiti State has pledged to prioritise people-oriented development and deliver tangible dividends of democracy to constituents if elected in the 2027 general elections.
The candidate made the pledge while speaking on his political agenda and plans to represent the people of the constituency.
He said his focus would be on improving the welfare of constituents through initiatives targeting education, healthcare, youth empowerment, infrastructure and economic opportunities.
He also promised to maintain regular engagement with constituents and ensure that their concerns were adequately represented at the National Assembly.
The candidate said effective representation should go beyond legislative debates and involve attracting meaningful development projects and opportunities to local communities.
He urged voters to assess candidates based on their records, competence and commitment to public service rather than political affiliations.
He further called on residents to participate actively in the electoral process and exercise their constitutional right to vote in the 2027 elections.
The candidate expressed confidence that his agenda would contribute to improved living conditions and stronger economic opportunities for people in the constituency.
