Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has assured all aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of a level playing field as the party prepares for upcoming elections in the state.
The governor gave the assurance during a stakeholders’ meeting held in Owerri, where party leaders, aspirants, and members gathered to discuss preparations for the party’s internal primaries.
Uzodimma emphasized that the APC primary process in Imo State will be conducted in a fair, transparent, and credible manner, stressing that no aspirant will be given preferential treatment.
According to him, the aim is to strengthen internal democracy within the party and ensure unity among members ahead of future elections. He also urged party stakeholders to remain committed to discipline and collective progress as the political season approaches.
The governor’s statement comes amid rising political activities within the state as aspirants begin positioning themselves for party nominations ahead of the next general elections.
With this assurance, the APC leadership in Imo State is seeking to reassure members of a transparent process that reflects fairness and equal opportunity for all contestants.
