Tope Osoba: CCC to Probe Alleged Involvement of Fiancé in Death
The Celestial Church of Christ says it is investigating allegations linking Prophet Itunu Onadeko to actress Temitope Osoba’s death.
The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) has announced an investigation into the alleged involvement of Prophet Itunu Onadeko, fiancé of Nollywood Yoruba actress Temitope Osoba, in her death.
The Head of Media and Publicity of the CCC Worldwide, AVSE Kayode Ajala, disclosed this in a statement issued on Wednesday.
The church’s decision follows reports linking Onadeko, a shepherd of the CCC, to the controversy surrounding the death of 40-year-old Osoba on August 5, 2026.
Ajala said the allegations had affected the reputation of the church, stressing that the CCC does not condone practices such as idolatry, black magic, cultism or the use of charms.
He described reports alleging Onadeko’s involvement in the actress’s death as embarrassing to the church and said the CCC had commenced a discreet investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
“As a church, we are already discreetly investigating the circumstances that led to the death of Temitope Osoba, and we wish to assure the general public that the Celestial Church of Christ would leave no stone unturned to unearth the truth,” Ajala said.
He added that anyone found culpable would be made to face justice, regardless of their position within the church.
The CCC urged the public to await the outcome of the investigation rather than draw conclusions from the allegations surrounding the case.
