RCCG Ordains 2,820 Pastors, 11,830 Deacons, Deaconesses at 74th Convention
The RCCG has ordained 2,820 pastors, 11,830 deacons and deaconesses, and 5,977 assistant pastors during its 74th Annual Convention held from August 3 to 9, 2026.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God has ordained 2,820 full pastors and 11,830 deacons and deaconesses during its 74th Annual Convention.
The ordination took place as part of the week-long convention, which ran from August 3 to 9, 2026.
The church also ordained 5,977 assistant pastors during the convention, bringing the number of newly ordained ministers across the different categories to more than 20,000.
The ordination ceremonies formed part of the activities marking the annual gathering of the RCCG, one of Nigeria's largest Christian denominations.
The convention featured worship, teachings and ministerial activities, with the ordination of new ministers highlighting the church's continued expansion and emphasis on leadership development.
The newly ordained ministers are expected to take up responsibilities within the church and support its evangelism, pastoral and community activities.
