Prioritise Regular Health Checks, Ogun HoS Urges Civil Servants


The Head of Service of Ogun State, Mr Kolawole Fagbohun, has urged civil servants in the state to prioritise regular medical check-ups, saying early detection of health conditions can help prevent complications and improve productivity.

Fagbohun made the call while speaking on the importance of preventive healthcare among workers in the state public service.

He advised workers not to wait until they develop noticeable symptoms before seeking medical attention, stressing that routine health assessments could help identify potential health concerns at an early stage.

The Head of Service also encouraged civil servants to adopt healthier lifestyles by paying attention to their diet, physical activity, rest and general wellbeing.

He noted that maintaining a healthy workforce was important to the effective delivery of government services, as preventable illnesses could affect workers' productivity and attendance.

Fagbohun urged government employees to take advantage of available healthcare and screening opportunities and to seek professional medical advice whenever necessary.

He reiterated the government's commitment to the welfare of its workforce, stressing that workers' health remained an important component of an efficient and productive public service.
