The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a man identified as Kehinde Makinde, popularly known as Pastor Kenny, for allegedly obtaining ₦2.5m from 18 fellowship members under the false pretence of organising a government-sponsored pilgrimage to Jerusalem.

The suspect was arrested on August 3, 2026, in Ibadan, Oyo State, following four months of intelligence gathering and discreet investigation by detectives attached to the Obantoko Police Division in Ogun State.

According to the police, Makinde allegedly approached members of a fellowship in Saje, Adatan, and promised to facilitate a government-sponsored pilgrimage to Jerusalem. He reportedly collected ₦2.5m from 18 members, while promising each participant ₦2m.
