The Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board has denied allegations linking it to the reported leakage of the recently concluded Common Entrance Examination in the state.

The board, through a statement issued on Tuesday, described the allegation as false and misleading, saying it could damage the reputation of the board and its leadership.

The Executive Chairman of OyoSUBEB, Dr Nureni Aderemi Adeniran, said the board was not involved at any stage in the setting, production, handling or administration of questions for the examination.

He therefore dismissed attempts to link the board, its chairman or officials to the alleged leakage as unfounded.

OyoSUBEB said complaints or concerns relating to the conduct, administration or outcome of the examination should be directed to the Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, which it identified as the appropriate authority responsible for the examination.

The board also urged media organisations to verify information before publishing or broadcasting allegations involving its officials.

It warned that defamatory statements or continued allegations against Adeniran or the board could result in legal action, saying it would pursue available lawful remedies to protect its reputation.

OyoSUBEB maintained that it remained focused on strengthening basic education in the state and promoting transparency and accountability in the sector.

The board urged members of the public to disregard the allegation and rely on verified information from the relevant authorities.
