OsunDecides2026: Physically Challenged Voter Praises Officials for Priority Treatment

A physically challenged voter, Aminat Akinsola, has commended election officials at her polling unit in Ejigbo, Osun State, for giving her priority treatment during Saturday’s governorship election.

Akinsola cast her ballot at Polling Unit 6, Ward 4, where she said officials took her condition into consideration during accreditation and voting.

She said the arrangement allowed her to vote without the difficulties that could have resulted from waiting in line with other voters.

“I’m so happy because I was treated with respect while I was trying to cast my vote. I was even the first person to be accredited,” she said.

Akinsola also praised the peaceful atmosphere at the polling unit and expressed hope that the eventual election result would reflect the choice of Osun voters.

Security personnel were deployed around the polling unit to maintain order and assist with the movement of voters. Young voters were also grouped according to gender as part of measures to manage the crowd.
