Osun Poll: Oyetola Urges APC Supporters to Deliver Victory for Oyebamiji
Former Osun Governor Adegboyega Oyetola has rallied APC supporters to intensify grassroots mobilisation and deliver victory for Bola Oyebamiji in the August 15 governorship election.
Former Osun State Governor and Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, has urged APC supporters across the state to unite and work for the victory of the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, in the August 15, 2026 election.
Oyetola called on party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and ensure that the APC reclaims the Osun governorship seat. His appeal comes as the election enters its final days, with the APC and Governor Ademola Adeleke’s PDP engaged in a closely watched contest.
The former governor has remained an important figure in the APC’s campaign, having previously led efforts to strengthen the party’s structures and consolidate support for Oyebamiji.
Earlier, Oyetola described the election as critical to the future of the APC in Osun and urged party elders and leaders to close ranks, deepen grassroots engagement and mobilise voters in every ward and community.
The call comes amid heightened political exchanges between the APC and PDP ahead of the poll. Adeleke has accused the APC of planning to manipulate the election, allegations the party has rejected.
The APC has maintained confidence in Oyebamiji’s chances, while the PDP is campaigning on Adeleke’s record in office and seeking his re-election.
Both camps have urged their supporters to remain committed as voters prepare to choose the next governor of Osun State.
