The All Progressives Congress has introduced an automated mobile campaign stage as part of its final major rally ahead of Saturday’s Osun State governorship election.

The technology-driven stage, provided by Monan Innovation, was transported to the rally in Osogbo as a long trailer and then transformed into a fully functional platform for speeches and other campaign activities.

The innovation attracted attention from party supporters and residents, offering an alternative to the conventional practice of constructing temporary stages at campaign venues.

According to the report, the mobile stage is designed to improve the mobility, visibility and efficiency of campaign events. It can be transported from one location to another and converted into a complete campaign platform.

The APC rally attracted Senate President Godswill Akpabio, governors, former governors, party leaders and thousands of supporters, who gathered to drum up support for the party’s governorship candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.

Monan Innovation said the Osun deployment builds on its experience during the Ekiti governorship election, where it used campaign intelligence, voter research, field mobilisation, logistics and technology-driven communication.

The company had also deployed mobile campaign trucks fitted with giant LED screens in Ekiti, allowing campaign events to be moved between communities without the need to build a new stage at every location.

The firm’s Chief Executive Officer, Moji Yakubu, said its approach focuses on understanding voters and using data and technology to help campaign teams make more informed decisions.

The Osun deployment therefore represents a broader attempt to bring technology and professional event management into political campaigning, making campaign infrastructure more flexible and adaptable.
