Osun Election: ADC’s Salaam Not in Alliance With Any Party, Says Aregbesola

Former Osun State Governor and National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, Rauf Aregbesola, has dismissed reports that the party and its governorship candidate, Najeem Folasayo Salaam, have withdrawn from the forthcoming Osun governorship election or entered into an alliance with another political party.

Aregbesola described the reports as false, unfounded and misleading, urging the public to disregard them.

He spoke on Saturday at a solidarity rally in Ejigbo, Osun State, held to mark Salaam’s 61st birthday and reaffirm support for his candidacy.

The former governor said the ADC remained committed to the governorship contest, stressing that the party had neither withdrawn from the election nor entered into an alliance with another political party.

Aregbesola expressed confidence in the party’s political structure and said the ADC was contesting the election to win. He also praised Salaam as a leader of integrity, humility and compassion, urging Osun residents to support his candidacy.

Speaking at the event, Salaam thanked supporters and political associates for their continued support and reaffirmed his commitment to his manifesto.

He appealed to voters to support the ADC, promising that an administration under his leadership would pursue inclusive, people-centred governance.
