Okpebholo Mocks Adeleke's Dancing, Urges Osun Voters to Vote APC
Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo criticised Governor Ademola Adeleke's leadership style during an APC rally, urging Osun voters to support the party's governorship candidate in the August 15 election.
Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has mocked the dancing style of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, urging voters in the state to support the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, in the August 15 governorship election.
Speaking at an APC campaign rally in Osun State, Okpebholo claimed Adeleke's frequent dancing reflected poor leadership and distracted him from governance. He also criticised the condition of roads and infrastructure in the state, arguing that Osun deserved a new direction under the APC.
The Edo governor further urged residents to collect money from political opponents if offered but vote for the APC candidate on election day. According to him, accepting inducements should not determine how citizens exercise their democratic rights at the polls.
Okpebholo also linked Adeleke to former Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki, saying Osun voters should reject the incumbent governor just as Edo residents voted out Obaseki. He expressed confidence that the APC would emerge victorious in the governorship election.
The rally formed part of the APC's campaign activities ahead of the governorship poll, with party leaders calling on supporters to mobilise voters and ensure a peaceful, credible election across Osun State.
