A beneficiary of the Kano State Government's mass wedding programme has said he now has three wives after marrying another woman through the initiative.

The beneficiary, identified as Abubakar, spoke during the mass wedding ceremony organised by the Kano State Government for 1,500 couples.

He said the latest marriage had increased the number of his wives to three, describing the programme as an opportunity that had enabled him to expand his family.
