Gombe ADC Publicity Secretary Resigns From Party Position

The Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Gombe State has resigned from the party, citing personal reasons for stepping down from the position amid ongoing political developments within the state's chapter.

In a resignation letter addressed to the party leadership, the former spokesperson expressed appreciation for the opportunity to serve, thanking party members and supporters for their cooperation during the period of service. The official did not disclose any detailed reasons behind the decision but wished the party success in its future activities.

The resignation comes as the ADC continues to experience internal realignments and leadership changes in several states ahead of preparations for the 2027 general elections. The party has in recent months been working to strengthen its structures while addressing internal disputes affecting some of its chapters.

Party officials in Gombe acknowledged the resignation and assured members that necessary steps would be taken to ensure the office of the Publicity Secretary is filled in accordance with the party's constitution. They maintained that the development would not affect the party's activities in the state.

The ADC has continued its nationwide reorganisation as it seeks to consolidate its position ahead of future elections, with party leaders expressing confidence that internal challenges would be resolved through dialogue and constitutional processes.
