The family of late Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has cautioned the public against spreading false information surrounding her death, urging Nigerians to disregard unverified reports and respect the family's privacy during this period of mourning.

In a statement issued on behalf of the family, relatives expressed concern over the circulation of misleading claims on social media regarding the cause of the actress's death. The family appealed to bloggers, content creators, media organisations to refrain from publishing speculative stories capable of causing additional pain to loved ones. It described the spread of unverified information as insensitive, urging the public to allow the family to grieve in peace.

While appreciating the outpouring of condolences from colleagues, fans, well-wishers, the family thanked Nigerians for celebrating Osoba's life and contributions to the Nigerian film industry. It added that funeral arrangements would be communicated officially at the appropriate time.
