Cristiano Ronaldo Set to Marry Georgina Rodriguez This Weekend

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly set to marry his longtime partner, Georgina Rodriguez, this weekend in Portugal, according to reports from the United Kingdom.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus star is expected to exchange vows with Rodriguez on August 8 on the island of Madeira, where he spent much of his childhood.

According to The Sun, the couple has chosen Funchal, the capital of Madeira, as the location for the ceremony.

The report said preparations for the wedding have been finalised almost a year after the couple announced their engagement.

It also claimed that Ronaldo and Rodriguez have secured a cathedral in Funchal for the ceremony, while the reception is expected to be held at the Savoy Palace Hotel.

According to the report, guests staying at the hotel were informed that parts of the facility would be unavailable during the celebrations.

“Guests at the hotel have been informed that two floors will be unavailable on Friday and Saturday, along with several bar areas,” the newspaper quoted a source as saying.

The wedding is expected to attract close family members, friends and selected guests, although neither Ronaldo nor Rodriguez has publicly confirmed the details of the ceremony.

Earlier reports had suggested the couple would tie the knot in Sintra, Portugal, on August 1, but those claims were later dismissed.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez have been together for several years and share a family, frequently giving fans glimpses of their personal lives through social media.

The Portuguese captain, widely regarded as one of the greatest footballers of all time, has enjoyed an illustrious career spanning Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid, Juventus and, most recently, Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.

Throughout his career, Ronaldo has won numerous domestic league titles, UEFA Champions League trophies and individual honours, including multiple Ballon d’Or awards.
