Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared that he and the people of the state will not succumb to intimidation ahead of the August 15 governorship election, expressing confidence that the will of the electorate will prevail at the polls.

Adeleke said Osun residents have a long history of defending their democratic rights and would not allow fear or external pressure to influence their choice of leadership. He maintained that his administration's performance across key sectors has earned it the support of the people.

The governor urged his supporters to remain peaceful, law-abiding and focused on the electoral process, insisting that violence and intimidation have no place in a democratic society. He also called on security agencies to remain professional and ensure a free, fair and credible election.

Adeleke expressed optimism about securing another term in office, stating that his administration has delivered tangible improvements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, workers' welfare and other areas of governance.
