The Police Service Commission has announced April 28 to 30, 2026, as the dates for the Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBT) in the ongoing recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force.

The examination will be conducted across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, following the nationwide physical and credential screening exercise scheduled to conclude on April 18.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Sokoto State Police Command through its Public Relations Officer, Ahmad Rufa’i.

Rufa’i described the CBT stage as a crucial part of the recruitment process, noting that it is designed to ensure that only qualified candidates are selected into the police force.

He explained that the duration of the test may vary across states, depending on the number of applicants and the availability of functional CBT centres. While some states may complete the process within a day, others may utilise the full three-day period.

According to him, the flexible scheduling is intended to accommodate operational differences across the country while ensuring that all eligible candidates are given equal opportunity to participate.

He urged applicants to remain calm and wait for official communication regarding their test venues and the release of shortlisted candidates.

Rufa’i also cautioned against the spread of misinformation, advising candidates to rely solely on verified and official channels for updates concerning the recruitment exercise.

The police authorities reiterated that all relevant details, including venue allocation and candidate lists, will be made available in due course.

The ongoing recruitment drive is part of broader efforts to strengthen the manpower and operational efficiency of the Nigeria Police Force as it continues to address security challenges across the country.
