The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has unveiled its provisional timetable and schedule of activities for the 2026 primary elections ahead of the 2027 general polls, setting the total cost of its presidential nomination at N75 million.

The party’s National Working Committee disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara. The timetable outlines key dates, fees, and procedures for aspirants seeking to contest under the party’s platform.

According to the schedule, all primary elections will be conducted on May 23, 2026, at the ward level using the Option A4 voting system. Appeals arising from the primaries are slated for resolution on May 28.

APGA fixed the cost of its expression of interest forms at N25 million for presidential aspirants. Other fees include N6 million for Senate, N4 million for House of Representatives, N10 million for governorship, and N2 million for State House of Assembly positions.

Nomination forms, however, attract higher fees. Presidential aspirants are to pay N50 million, while governorship forms cost N25 million. Senate, House of Representatives, and State Assembly nomination forms are pegged at N15 million, N12 million, and N6 million, respectively.

The party stated that the sale and submission of expression of interest forms will run from April 20 to May 8, 2026. Screening for National Assembly aspirants is scheduled for May 11, followed by State House of Assembly candidates on May 12, and governorship aspirants on May 13.

APGA noted that the timetable aligns with the revised election schedule issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on February 26, 2026, as well as provisions of the party’s constitution and the Electoral Act 2026.

The party emphasized that the outlined process is aimed at ensuring a transparent and credible selection of candidates for the upcoming elections.
