A Delta State High Court sitting in Orerokpe has restrained the Inspector General of Police from enforcing the tinted glass permit policy.
The order also restrains the Nigeria Police Force nationwide.
The court barred the police from arresting or harassing motorists over tinted glass permits.
The injunction was granted through an ex parte application.
The case followed complaints by motorists and civil rights groups.
The court ordered a halt to enforcement pending further legal proceedings.
