President Bola Tinubu has challenged opposition figures ahead of the 2027 elections, insisting that no political alliance or perceived conspiracy can intimidate him or derail his administration’s agenda.

Speaking while hosting the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a group tasked with promoting his administration’s policies nationwide, Tinubu said he remains undeterred despite what he described as a gang-up by opposition parties, including the African Democratic Congress.

He urged opposition leaders such as Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Nasir el Rufai to respect democratic principles and obey judicial rulings, stressing that adherence to the rule of law is essential for national stability.

The President expressed appreciation to members of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, assuring them of his commitment to delivering on his promises. He described the moment as an opportunity to tackle poverty, ignorance, and underdevelopment, while strengthening democratic values in the country.

Tinubu emphasised the need for unity and a shared national vision, noting that Nigeria’s progress depends on collective effort and commitment. He encouraged the ambassadors to spread hope among citizens and remain committed to building a better nation.

Addressing the growing opposition coalition, Tinubu dismissed attempts to unseat him, stating that he has faced similar challenges in the past and remains resolute. He maintained that Nigeria’s development lies in the hands of its citizens and leaders who are willing to drive meaningful change.

On the economy, the President acknowledged existing challenges but said his administration is taking decisive steps to address them. He noted that reforms may be difficult but are necessary to reposition the country for long-term growth.

Tinubu also made veiled criticisms of past leadership decisions, particularly on privatisation, questioning their outcomes and effectiveness. He assured Nigerians that his administration would remain focused on delivering tangible results.

Earlier, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma said the Renewed Hope initiative aims to translate government policies into relatable messages at the grassroots level, enhancing public understanding.

Also speaking, former Katsina State Governor Aminu Masari noted that reform-driven leadership often faces resistance but commended the Tinubu administration for its efforts despite ongoing challenges.

The President concluded by reaffirming his determination not to give up, assuring supporters that his administration remains committed to national development and improved living standards.
