The manfriend of a slain officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Lasisi Funmilayo, and her daughter, Sewa, Victor Fajemirokun, has confessed how he lured the victims from Ogun State to Osun State, where they were brutally murdered by herbalists in what police described as a suspected ritual killing.

Fajemirokun, aged 40, was paraded on Wednesday at the headquarters of the Osun State Police Command in Osogbo alongside two herbalists, Gboyega Daramola and Sunday James.

The Osogbo based businessman told journalists that he was persuaded by a Muslim cleric that Funmilayo had spiritually used his glory and that as long as she remained alive, he would not prosper. He said this belief led him to plot her death.

According to him, he invited the deceased from Ogun State to Ijebu Ijesa in Osun State under the pretence of undergoing spiritual cleansing.

Fajemirokun said he had earlier told his wife in Osogbo that he was travelling for prayers in Ikoyi, Osun State.

He narrated, “I met one Gboyega Daramola on TikTok. The agreement between Funmilayo and I was to go and meet him for spiritual cleansing. When he consulted for me spiritually, he said Funmilayo was the one causing misfortune for me and asked me to bring her.

“I went there with Funmilayo to his place at Ijebu Ijesa. He told her that she had to perform some rituals and instructed three men to take her to the bush. It was in the bush that we killed her. The daughter went with us.

“After killing them, I ran to a mountain in Ikoyi and later moved to Ibadan. It was as if I was hypnotised. I never really wanted to do it. When I got there, I already knew they wanted to kill her. I did not know they harvested their organs until I heard it on the news.”

One of the arrested herbalists, Sunday James, said he met Fajemirokun, the woman and her daughter in the house of his boss, Gboyega Daramola, on November 2.

James said, “My boss told me that Victor had gone to an alfa who told him that his woman friend had used his glory. That was why he brought them for ritual.”

Police investigations revealed that the 39 year old senior officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps and her daughter were earlier declared missing after leaving their residence at Obasanjo Hilltop Estate, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Sunday, November 2. They never returned home.

Their bodies were later discovered at a suspected herbalists den in Osun State with mutilated body parts, sparking public outrage across Ogun and Osun states.

The Osun State Police Command said all suspects would be charged to court after the conclusion of investigations.
