The interception took place at a checkpoint in Nguru, Yobe State, where the driver initially presented documentation indicating the cargo contained beverages and household items. However, a thorough search uncovered hundreds of cartons of drugs, including antibiotics, injections, and bandages.
Security operatives arrested the driver along with three other occupants. During interrogation, the driver reportedly confessed that the consignment was destined for the Republic of Chad through Geidam.

Items recovered from them included mobile phones, cash, and personal belongings. A woman and her three children associated with a террорист kingpin were also apprehended.
Troops also thwarted an attempted infiltration by insurgents in Askira Uba Local Government Area of Borno State. During an ambush, soldiers engaged the attackers, forcing them to flee and abandon weapons. Follow-up operations resulted in the rescue of three kidnapped victims from a террорист enclave.
In Bama Local Government Area, clearance operations led to the destruction of a террорист camp, compelling insurgents to retreat under sustained military pressure.
Elsewhere, troops of Operation Safe Haven recovered weapons during stop-and-search operations in Plateau State. They also arrested a suspected gunrunner and rescued additional kidnapped victims in Bauchi State following intelligence from earlier airstrikes.
In the Federal Capital Territory, troops raided an illegal mining site in Gwagwalada, recovering equipment, while suspects fled the scene.
In the South-South region, troops of Operation Delta Safe responded to a communal clash in Delta State, restoring order after one fatality.
