President Bola Tinubu is set to embark on a two-day working visit to Lagos on Wednesday and Thursday, during which he will inaugurate six major infrastructure projects delivered by the state government.

The Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile, announced the visit in a statement, noting that the projects reflect the administration’s commitment to transformative and long-term development. He described the initiatives as “iconic, transformative and legacy projects” aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.

According to Akosile, the projects slated for commissioning include the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information Service building in Alausa, the Multi-Agency Complex, the Tolu Schools Complex in Ajegunle, the Maracana Stadium, and the Lagos Food Logistics Hub in Abijo.

Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, also confirmed the development, explaining that the projects were designed to address critical infrastructure gaps across the state. He said the Ojota-Opebi Link Bridge would significantly ease traffic congestion and provide alternative routes for motorists in busy areas such as Allen, Maryland, Opebi, and Ojota.

Osiyemi added that the Geographic Information Service building would modernise land administration through digital systems, while the Multi-Agency Complex would improve efficiency by housing several government agencies within a central location.

He further highlighted the Lagos Food Logistics Hub in Abijo as a major boost to agro-commerce, offering modern storage and trading facilities to support food distribution. The upgraded Tolu Schools Complex now features additional classrooms, ICT laboratories, and sports facilities to enhance learning conditions.

In addition, the Maracana Stadium in Ajegunle, equipped with 19 mini football pitches, is expected to promote grassroots sports development and youth engagement across the state.

The visit underscores ongoing efforts by the Lagos State Government to expand infrastructure, improve urban mobility, and drive socio-economic growth.
