Security advocate Zanna has described the vision of Inspector General of Police IGP Tunji Disu as a potential turning point for policing in Nigeria. The Inspector General of Police IGP is the highest ranking officer in the Nigeria Police Force and oversees national law enforcement strategy.

Zanna praised Disu emphasis on intelligence driven operations, professionalism, and community engagement. According to him, effective policing requires rebuilding trust between officers and the public.

Since assuming office, Disu has outlined priorities including modernization of investigative tools, improved welfare for personnel, and strengthened accountability systems. Analysts note that institutional reform within the police remains a recurring national demand.

Security experts argue that intelligence led strategies are essential in addressing evolving threats such as cybercrime, terrorism, and organized criminal networks. Technological integration and data analysis capabilities are viewed as critical components.

Civil society groups stress that reform must include transparent complaint resolution mechanisms. They maintain that accountability enhances legitimacy and operational efficiency.

Observers caution that translating policy vision into measurable impact will require sustained funding and political support. Structural challenges such as manpower shortages and training gaps remain significant.

Zanna remarks reflect cautious optimism among reform advocates. Analysts conclude that the effectiveness of the new policing agenda will ultimately depend on implementation consistency and institutional discipline.
