Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, on Wednesday unveiled an Artificial Intelligence powered teaching and learning platform designed to modernise education delivery across the state.

The platform, known as the Ogun Learning Enhancement and Academic Resource Network, OgunLearn, was launched at the June 12 Cultural Centre in Abeokuta as part of the state’s drive to align its education sector with global digital standards.

Speaking at the event, Abiodun said the initiative would provide students with interactive learning support and comprehensive lesson materials, while giving teachers access to digital tools for lesson planning, performance tracking and content delivery.

He explained that the platform was created to promote creativity, analytical thinking and self paced learning, noting that technology must play a central role in preparing young people for future opportunities.

According to the governor, OgunLearn reflects the belief that every child deserves access to quality education regardless of background or location. He added that the initiative was a deliberate effort to prepare learners for emerging global realities rather than outdated systems.

Abiodun highlighted other education and skills development programmes introduced by his administration, including Ogun Skills Fund, Ogun Educash, Ogun Scholar, Ogun Teach and Ogun DIPER, describing them as part of a broader system reform agenda.

He also said the platform aligns with the state’s Education Digital Transformation Agenda, which has improved transparency, data driven decision making and school administration.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof Abayomi Arigbabu, said OgunLearn builds on lessons from the COVID 19 period when technology was deployed to sustain learning.

The Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, Evang Olalekan Ifede, urged teachers to embrace the platform, describing it as the future of education in the state.
