Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has officially flagged off the construction of the Otovwodo flyover project valued at thirty nine point three billion naira, describing it as a critical step toward easing traffic congestion and boosting economic activity in Warri and its environs.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Oborevwori said the project would improve connectivity between major commercial corridors and reduce travel time for commuters and businesses. He added that the flyover is part of a broader infrastructure renewal plan aimed at positioning Delta State as a hub for trade and investment in the Niger Delta.
The governor assured residents that the project would be delivered on schedule, noting that strict monitoring mechanisms have been put in place to ensure quality and transparency. Contractors handling the project said it would create hundreds of direct and indirect jobs during the construction phase.
Community leaders welcomed the development, saying improved road infrastructure would enhance safety and stimulate growth for small and medium enterprises in the area.
