The Great Nigerian Assembly (GNA), through its distinguished Pacesetter Committee, is pleased to announce the commencement of the GNA Pacesetter Person of the Year Global Survey 2025 on Friday, December 12, 2025.
This global survey is a flagship component of the GNA Pacesetter Awards Program, created to identify, honor, and amplify outstanding Nigerians whose leadership, integrity, and impactful contributions are transforming lives at home and in the diaspora.
SCOPE OF THE 2025 GLOBAL SURVEY
The 2025 Global Survey will cover the following key Pacesetter categories:
- GNA Pacesetter Person of the Year 2025
- Governor of the Year 2025
- Minister of the Year 2025
- Senator of the Year 2025
- House of Representatives Member of the Year 2025
- Local Government Chairman of the Year 2025
For the GNA Pacesetter Person of the Year 2025:

Twenty-seven (27) exceptional Nigerians have been shortlisted based on verifiable impact, leadership, and service.

Participants across the world will not only be able to vote among the shortlisted names, but will also have the option to nominate another deserving individual they believe should be recognized—even if such a person is not on the published shortlist.
For the Governor, Minister, Senator, House of Representatives Member, and Local Government Chairman of the Year, respondents will be invited to identify and rate leaders whose performance, accountability, and service record stand out in 2025.

Award recipients for all categories—Person of the Year, Governor, Minister, Senator, House of Rep Member, and Local Government Chairman of the Year, will be formally announced during the GNA Pacesetter Awards & National Recognition Ceremony slated for January 2026.
