The Federal Government of Nigeria has handed over 24 housing units to the University of Ilesha as part of efforts to improve infrastructure within tertiary institutions. The Federal Government commonly abbreviated as FG is responsible for national development initiatives, including housing and education projects.
Officials said the housing units are intended to provide accommodation for staff and enhance the university’s operational capacity. The initiative aligns with broader efforts to address infrastructure gaps in Nigeria’s higher education sector.
Education stakeholders have commended the development, noting that adequate housing is essential for attracting and retaining qualified personnel.
Observers say improved infrastructure can contribute to better teaching and research outcomes.
