Davido has sparked new controversy after firing back at a fan who urged him to address the circulation of alleged leaked private chats involving the singer.
The drama began when an X user, @ibrosnaps, shared messages allegedly sent from an account using Davido’s photo and name. In the screenshots, the sender accused him of ingratitude after supposed favours and even issued threats if he ever came to Lagos.
Reacting to the post, the user wrote: “I’m just seeing this one o. 1. Help me ask this guy what has he really ever done for me. He might be confusing me with someone else. 2. What’s up with the threats? Is 30BG a music group or crime syndicate? Tell us now.”
The conversation later shifted to a public clash on X, where a 30BG supporter criticised people sharing alleged chats with Davido, calling it “embarrassing” and encouraging the singer to “deal with anyone” involved.
The fan wrote: “.@davido mahn, if u wanna deal with anyone, go ahead and just do it. I am sick and tired of seeing fools posting screenshots of ur chats… it’s embarrassing mahn.”
Davido’s reaction, however, was what truly caught public attention. From his verified account, he replied bluntly: “F*** off.”
The fan later returned to his own post to give more context, referencing the trending leaked messages. His follow-up comments — “‘I swear on my mom’s grave’, ‘U be bird I be aye’. E don do abeg” — echoed the tone and phrases circulating in the alleged screenshots. Rather than personal remarks, they appeared to mimic the language attributed to Davido in the contested chats.
Davido’s short and harsh reply immediately set social media buzzing. Some users were shocked that he responded so bluntly to a supporter. Others found the moment humorous, while some compared his reaction to Burna Boy’s often confrontational exchanges with fans.
