ABUJA – The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ola Olukoyede, has claimed that systemic corruption is “masking” the vast blessings bestowed upon Nigeria, preventing the nation from achieving its true greatness.

In a Christmas message delivered in Abuja on Wednesday, the anti-graft boss called on all citizens to unite in a “fierce” confrontation against financial malpractice to allow national prosperity to flourish.

A Barrier to National Progress

Mr Olukoyede described corruption as the primary hurdle to Nigeria’s development, suggesting that the “abundant life” intended for the country remains suppressed by unethical practices.
