Music fans in Lagos were treated to an unexpected moment as Grammy winning artist Burna Boy made a surprise appearance at a concert headlined by rising star Shallipopi.
The concert held over the weekend drew a large crowd of young music lovers who came to watch Shallipopi perform some of his popular songs.
Midway into the performance excitement surged through the venue when Burna Boy walked onto the stage unannounced. The crowd erupted in cheers as the two artistes exchanged greetings before performing together.
Burna Boy praised Shallipopi for his originality and rapid rise in the Nigerian music industry. He described the young artiste as part of a new generation redefining Afrobeat sound and culture.
The duo performed a short freestyle which further energized the audience and quickly became a trending moment on social media.
Shallipopi expressed gratitude for the support saying the appearance meant a lot to him as an emerging artist.
