Collins Nweke is a passionate and principled Nigerian, known for his balanced and constructive approach to national dialogue and public discourse. He has been a foundational pillar of the GNA—contributing immensely through insightful ideas, innovative suggestions, and strategic interventions that continue to shape the Assembly into one of the most well-structured, non-political, non-religious, and non-governmental Nigerian organizations in the world. His dedication reflects GNA’s mission: promoting good governance, accountability, and collective progress for Nigeria.
GN Collins Nweke: A Visionary Nigerian-Born Belgian Politician and Advocate for Change
GN Collins Nweke, a Nigerian-born Belgian politician affiliated with the Green Party, has made history and impact in Belgian politics. He became the first non-Belgian-born individual to be elected into political office in West Flanders province. His distinguished service as Councillor for Social Affairs in the administration of Mayor Bart Tommelein at the Ostend City Council began its third term on January 2, 2019.
Following a stellar political career rooted in integrity, inclusion, and social progress, GN Collins Nweke retired from active party politics in December 2024, after three highly successful and impactful terms in office.
Beyond politics, he remains a vibrant force in international advisory circles. A devoted family man, Collins is a proud father to two accomplished adult sons and a doting grandfather. He and his beloved wife, Tonia, reside in Ostend, Belgium, where they continue to make lasting contributions to their community and beyond.
