The Janaza (funeral) prayer for Sina Ghami and Abdul-Latif Kevin Ayodele, close associates of boxing champion Anthony Joshua, will take place on Sunday, 4 January 2026.
The remains of Ghami and Ayodele were returned to the United Kingdom following the fatal car crash in Nigeria in which they lost their lives.
The prayer service is scheduled for 10am at the London Central Mosque, 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.
A statement released on Saturday and shared by Boxing King Media confirmed the arrangements, noting: “Our thoughts and prayers are with their families and loved ones.”
Ghami and Ayodele died in a road accident on Monday, 29 December 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in the Makun area of Ogun State. Anthony Joshua, who was also in the vehicle, sustained only minor injuries.
The crash occurred when the Lexus SUV in which they were travelling collided with a stationary lorry, resulting in the deaths of Ghami, Joshua’s strength and conditioning coach, and Ayodele, his personal trainer, at the scene.
The funeral service in London will give relatives, friends, and members of the boxing community an opportunity to pay their final respects.
