Abia State Governor Dr Alex Otti has declared that he has no intention of seeking any further political office after completing his current tenure as governor. Speaking publicly, Otti stated that his entry into politics was driven by a clear mission to fix Abia State and not by personal ambition.
According to the governor, he does not harbour plans to contest for the presidency vice presidency or a senatorial seat. He emphasised that leadership should be transitional and that younger Nigerians must be allowed to take responsibility for the future.
Otti said his focus remains on delivering good governance economic reforms and infrastructural development in Abia State. Political analysts believe his statement could reshape succession discussions in the state and strengthen his image as a reform focused leader.
