Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, Israel has claimed that Iran is weakening and gradually losing control as hostilities between the two countries intensify.
The Israel Defense Forces made the claim on Thursday in a post shared on the social media platform X following a series of heavy strikes carried out against Iranian targets.
“Iran is weakening and losing control,” the Israeli military stated in the post.
The statement came shortly after Israeli forces launched another round of strikes early Friday morning on Tehran, the capital of Iran, further escalating the ongoing conflict between the two regional powers.
According to reports, the strikes targeted strategic locations within the Iranian capital, intensifying the already fragile security situation in the region.
In retaliation, Iran reportedly launched a fresh wave of attacks using cluster missiles against Tel Aviv and other areas in central Israel.
The retaliatory strike was said to have caused significant damage in parts of central Israel, raising concerns over the potential for a broader regional conflict if hostilities continue to escalate.
Meanwhile, reactions have continued to emerge on social media regarding the developments surrounding the conflict.
An X user identified as @Vikasgupta9184 claimed that three United States Air Force MQ-9 Reaper drones were reportedly lost during an operation in Iran.
“Three US Air Force MQ-9 Reaper drones were lost during an operation in Iran. One drone attempted to land near the Iranian coast, but the crash sites of all three remain unknown. One UAV was reportedly lost due to friendly fire from Qatari air defenses,” the user wrote.
However, there has been no official confirmation from the United States regarding the claim about the alleged loss of the drones.
The ongoing exchange of attacks between Israel and Iran has heightened global concerns over stability in the Middle East, with analysts warning that continued escalation could have significant geopolitical and economic consequences worldwide.
