Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, has denied allegations linking him to the ongoing online dispute between activist VeryDarkMan and content creator King Mitchy.

The controversy began after King Mitchy renovated a public school within six days, reportedly with financial backing from Seyi Tinubu. She later became involved in an online exchange with VeryDarkMan over claims that she failed to properly account for public donations received since 2025. The activist subsequently accused Seyi Tinubu of sponsoring her charity work and intensified the dispute.

In a recent Instagram video, VeryDarkMan urged the public to hold both Seyi Tinubu and King Mitchy responsible should anything happen to him.

Responding through a series of Instagram posts, Seyi Tinubu described the allegations as false and misleading. He clarified that his only interaction with King Mitchy occurred publicly, where he provided financial support for her non-governmental organisation as part of his broader youth empowerment efforts.

He stated that although a follow-up meeting had been planned to review the impact of the donation, it was cancelled due to ill health. He emphasized that there was no private meeting, secret arrangement, or impropriety involved.

Tinubu expressed concern that a dispute he neither initiated nor participated in was being used to damage his reputation. He further accused VeryDarkMan of deliberately escalating the issue for attention.

Condemning what he termed online bullying and harassment, Tinubu warned about the potential mental health consequences of such attacks. He reaffirmed his long-standing commitment to philanthropy in education, healthcare, enterprise, and youth development, calling for restraint, responsible discourse, and a return to factual engagement.
