He said discussions focused on harmonising preparations for the convention and congresses while reinforcing coordination between the party’s national leadership, state governments and the National Assembly.
According to Yilwatda, the objective was to ensure that all arms of government and party structures are aligned ahead of the internal electoral processes. He noted that the APC continues to witness significant growth, with new members, governors and lawmakers joining its ranks.
He emphasised the need for inclusivity as the party expands, stressing that its leadership is committed to ensuring that no stakeholder is sidelined in the process.
Yilwatda also commended President Tinubu’s leadership, describing him as a seasoned politician whose strategic guidance continues to shape the party’s direction and consolidation efforts. He said the President’s experience and understanding of the political cycle remain instrumental to the APC’s ongoing expansion and internal cohesion.
