Your unwavering commitment has strengthened our resolve and reaffirmed our shared conviction that nation building is a collective responsibility.
As we step boldly into 2026, our focus will be anchored on the following strategic priorities, carefully designed to address Nigeria’s present realities while positioning our nation for future prosperity.
1. Massive Empowerment and Skill Acquisition
The global landscape is undergoing rapid transformation driven by artificial intelligence, robotics, and emerging technologies that are reshaping industries, economies, and the nature of work. To remain relevant, competitive, and productive, Nigerians must be equipped with future ready skills and practical knowledge.
Through a strategic partnership with CPI Education, GNA will deliver high quality, accessible, and competitively priced training programs. These initiatives will empower individuals, particularly youths and professionals, with the competencies required to thrive in the evolving global economy.
2. Adoption and Implementation of the GNA Coverage Area Administrator CAA Model
Throughout 2025, seasoned professionals, governance experts, and committed Nigerians worked diligently to design the GNA Coverage Area Administrator CAA Model. This robust framework is aimed at bringing citizens closer to governance, strengthening accountability, promoting the rule of law, and enhancing structured engagement with political office holders.
In 2026, the rollout of this model will accelerate with the appointment of CAAs across various local government areas. This initiative will empower communities to participate more actively in governance and grassroots development.
3. Expansion of the VoiceItOut Platform
To complement and support the CAA Model, GNA will intensify the promotion of the VoiceItOut platform. This platform provides Nigerians with unhindered access to a global civic space where informed opinions can be expressed, constructive dialogue encouraged, exemplary performance commended, and meaningful contributions made to national discourse.
VoiceItOut remains a critical instrument for citizen engagement, transparency, and accountability.
4. Strengthening GNA Media Platforms
Our media ecosystem, including GNA Weekly Magazine, GNA Daily News Updates, and GNA Pacesetter, will be further strengthened to serve as credible global platforms for Nigeria’s development narrative, diaspora engagement, and responsible journalism anchored on truth, balance, and national interest.
Collective Responsibility and Call to Action
The successful delivery of these ambitious goals will require sustained cooperation, shared responsibility, and unwavering support from all stakeholders. We are confident that together we will rise to this challenge.
Meanwhile, the results of the ongoing GNA Pacesetter Person of the Year Award will be officially announced on January 24, 2026. Nigerians everywhere are encouraged to participate in this important survey, an initiative designed to promote good governance, accountability, and performance based leadership.
As we move forward, we encourage every Nigerian to continually reflect on these questions:
