YouTube has released its official 2025 Nigeria Year-in-Review, highlighting the music videos, creators, and entertainment content that captured the attention of Nigerian viewers throughout the year.
From the newly published rankings, gospel artist Akinade “Gaise Baba” Ibuoye and popular Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli emerged as the year’s standout performers on the platform.
The announcement was delivered in a statement issued by Addy Awofisayo, YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa.
Gaise Baba dominated the music category, with his viral track “No Turning Back II”, featuring Lawrence Oyor, finishing as Nigeria’s most-watched music video of 2025.
Released in mid-May, the video rapidly gained nationwide traction and surpassed 41 million views in just six months, attracting huge engagement from gospel and mainstream audiences alike.
