Apple Music has released its 2025 Year-End Charts, and once again, Nigerian artists dominate across every major category. The rankings highlight the scale of Afrobeats’ influence, showing not only local success but also its growing reach across Africa.


Wizkid: Apple Music Nigeria’s Leading Act

Wizkid finishes 2025 as the Top Artist in Nigeria, reaffirming his place among Afrobeats’ most influential global figures.
His album Morayo takes Top Album of 2025: Nigeria, securing an impressive double win.

The Starboy lead also appears near the top of the singles chart, with ‘Kese (Dance)’ landing at No. 2, giving him a clean sweep across the Artist, Album, and Song lists. It’s another landmark year underscoring Wizkid’s longevity and loyal fanbase.

Asake Claims Nigeria’s No. 1 Song of 2025

Asake scores the country’s No. 1 Song of the Year with his smash hit ‘WHY LOVE’.
His album Lungu Boy ranks third among Nigeria’s most-streamed projects, while he sits at No. 3 on the Top Artists list, behind Wizkid and Burna Boy.

Asake also appears again on the chart through his collaboration with Wizkid, ‘MMS’, which takes the No. 4 spot.

Davido Strengthens His Continental Presence

Davido rounds off the dominance of the Big Three.
His album 5ive is Nigeria’s second most-streamed and also features prominently on Ghana’s year-end lists.

His single ‘Funds’ with ODUMODUBLVCK and Chike ranks No. 3 on Nigeria’s Top Songs chart, while ‘With You’, featuring Omah Lay, sits at No. 5. All Top 5 songs in Nigeria are shared exclusively by Wizkid, Asake, and Davido.

Nigerian Music Extends Its Reach Across Africa

Nigerian music continues to lead the continental soundscape:

  • In Ghana, Davido’s 5ive ranks No. 5 among top albums, while Fireboy DML and Black Sherif’s ‘So It Goes’ is the No. 2 song of the year.

  • In Kenya, Shallipopi’s viral hit ‘Laho’ becomes the No. 5 most-streamed track, signalling the rise of Nigeria’s street-pop across East Africa.

Back home, Burna Boy, Seyi Vibez, and BNXN join the Top 5 Artists list, making it a fully Nigerian lineup.
