The Senator representing Ondo South, Jimoh Ibrahim, has called on Nigerians to give full support to President Bola Tinubu’s economic and security reform agenda, describing the administration’s policies as vital to national stability and sustainable development.
In a statement issued on Friday, Ibrahim said the success of the ongoing reforms depends largely on the collective commitment of citizens, noting that meaningful national progress can only be achieved through unity and shared responsibility.
He stated that in the current global environment, no nation operates in isolation, as economic pressures, security threats, and public health challenges often extend beyond national borders. According to him, modern governance demands constant vigilance and cooperation to protect national interests.
The senator, while drawing examples from global military history, noted that the United States has carried out hundreds of military interventions since 1798. He said this highlights the importance of firm and strategic actions in safeguarding a nation’s security and sovereignty.
Ibrahim commended President Tinubu for taking proactive measures to secure Nigeria’s borders and strengthen internal security, while also pursuing economic policies targeted at growth, job creation, and investment attraction.
He said the President’s vision is aimed at ensuring a secure nation with expanded economic opportunities for all citizens. He urged Nigerians to look beyond political differences and support the reform process in the interest of long term national development.
Ibrahim further stressed that patriotism and public cooperation remain crucial to improving security and strengthening economic stability. He expressed confidence that with sustained national support, Nigeria will build a stronger security framework, achieve economic growth, and enhance its standing on the global stage.
