A viral TikTok video has sparked controversy after a man identified as Pastor Oloruntimilehin Daramola was seen urging his congregation to “get fortified” for protection against possible attacks. The footage, posted on Monday on a TikTok account bearing the username @kingbosoro, shows the cleric dressed in a purple robe and cap with a cross pendant around his neck.
As at press time, the authenticity of the TikTok account, the pastor’s identity, and the date of the sermon could not be independently verified.
In the clip, the man who described himself as the Founder of The Omnipotence Mission of God told his followers to adopt what he called “protective measures” capable of shielding them from armed invaders. He also urged the Federal Government to legalise widespread gun ownership in the country.
He referenced Nigeria’s amalgamation, suggesting that major regions could part ways peacefully if the union “was no longer working,” before returning to advise his followers to seek fortification.
“You members, go and do something that can protect you,” he said, adding that attackers should “fight themselves” or be met with “bees” or death before reaching his church. He insisted that any member who refused to comply would be expelled.
Citing past attacks on worship centres, he argued that calling on Jesus had not prevented killings in places such as Owo and Kaduna.
The cleric also claimed to have branches in Nigeria, the UK, and the US, and invited people to meet him privately for what he called the “right steps.”
His comments have generated heated reactions online, though verification of his claims remains outstanding.
